Rhino Scripting
After several difficulties writing rhino scripts, I've settled with a manual rhino model for noe. Hopefully with help, and the time of the weekend, I'll be able to produce a similar product with a script.
I started with topography paths from photoshop, into illustrator, and then into rhino. I projected the curves onto a lofted surface, and extruded the lines into 3d.

Exhibition Study
Tools of the Imagination National Building Museum
“ The tool of the architect is to be able to see.”—Alvaro Siza
This exhibition explores the tools that architects use, and have used throughout history.
"The exhibition will investigate 200 years of design tools and technologies - from historic pencils, ink, and drafting equipment to the latest and most sophisticated software and hardware, simulations, models, and lasers - as well as a wide array of drawings, renderings, and sketches from well-known architects. The exhibition will also look into the future - exploring smart tools, smart drawings, and smart buildings, all of which will ultimately affect the division of labor in the design process, and, indeed, how we experience buildings. Interactive stations will allow the visitor to try his or her hand at computer simulations and drawings that illustrate exhibition themes."
This exhibition is a good tool of it's own, showing how the field of architetcure has evolved, and how the mediums designers use have a major effect on the outcome of the project. With new technologies, designers have the freedom to create new cutting edge things, and are not limited by materials and methods as before.

Morphosis' varitation: Deconstruct to tansition to sky.
My variation: Deconstruct to transition to ground.
Morphosis' varitation: Deconstruct to tansition to sky.
My variation: Deconstruct to transition to ground.
Matthias Kohler
Repeat an identical shape, but change one aspect to create a pattern.
Kohler's variation: Rotate each block to a different angle.
My variation: Change the depth at which the object is placed.
